grill well | everyday marinade

Summer may be long gone, but we're still a'grillin'. Most store bought marinades come with a lot of additives you don't need or want. This natural version packs a lot of flavor and is made with items we almost always have on hand. The best thing about this is, if you're missing one or two ingredients, you still have the mixin's for something delicious. This is perfect for chicken breasts on the grill, George Foreman or otherwise. Paired with some brown rice and veggies (we're loving zucchini right now) you have a spot-on, simple dinner. Just combine, add to chicken, and let it work it's magic overnight in the fridge.

1/4 C juice of lemon

1/4 C olive oil

1/4 C soy sauce, low sodium

1 T mustard

1 tsp garlic, pressed

1 green onion, chopped

salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
