If you don't already, it's time to start reading nutrition labels. Food companies are all about marketing and can make all kinds of claims on the front of packages. You won't get the whole story until you read the nutrition label and ingredients on the back.
When buying bread, the first ingredient should be WHOLE GRAIN (whole grain flour, whole grain oats, whole grain wheat flour, etc). Many wheat breads will start with Enriched flour and that means you're not getting a true whole grain. You want the fiber and nutrients that you can only get with whole grain products, so be sure to check the label!
